Ensconced at his New Jersey golf club on Wednesday morning, Donald Trump tweeted a brag about the U.S. nuclear arsenal, saying he had renovated and modernized it to make it the best in the world.
Tweeted Trump: “My first order as President was to renovate and modernize our nuclear arsenal. It is now far stronger and more powerful than ever before…….Hopefully we will never have to use this power, but there will never be a time that we are not the most powerful nation in the world!”

The comments are his first since he threatened North Korea during a roundtable on Tuesday night following a report in the Washington Post that it had developed a miniature nuclear warhead.
“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” said Trump. “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening – beyond a normal statement – and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power the likes of which the world has never seen before.”
UPDATE: Ex-Obama foreign policy advisor Ben Rhodes called Trump's latest lie “alarming.”
It's literally impossible for Trump to have changed our nuclear arsenal in 6 months. Alarming thing to lie about. https://t.co/9cizhVLJAU
